Local residents asked to help decorate a tree with new mitts, scarves, hats and more
The city of Welland launches its annual Mitten Tree Campaign today.
The city not only hopes to collect winter wear but is also looking for donations of socks, slippers, onesies, toiletries, blankets, toys and canned or boxed non perishable food items.
Donations can be dropped off at the following locations until December 11th, during regular hours of operation:
Civic Square
Welland Community Wellness Complex
Farmer's Market on Young Street
Niagara Centre YMCA
