Former Soviet Leader Mikhail Gorbachev has died at the age of 91.
Russian news agencies say his death was confirmed by officials at Central Clinical Hospital in Moscow.
His office had previously said that he was undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Gorbachev was the last Soviet president and presided over the end of the Cold War.
The exact cause of death has not been made public.
