Emergency crews rescued a man from the lower Niagara River Gorge today.
One man is facing trespassing charges after being stranded in the lower Niagara River Gorge.
The Niagara Parks Police Service says earlier today, emergency crews responded to a 9-1-1 call about a man who was stranded near the Whirlpool Trail, just a few metres from the shore.
Members of the Niagara Falls Fire Department used cold water gear and a ladder to assist the man.
He refused medical treatment and was charged under the Trespass to Property Act.
The Niagara Parks Police Service says conditions along the shoreline in the area can change quickly.
