Police were called to a residential area after a man barricaded himself inside a house
A 35-year old Welland man is facing charges after a disturbance Tuesday night in Welland.
Police were called to the Alberta and Avon Street area, to find a man with a rifle was arguing with another man and woman.
When the accused was asked by the other man to put the rifle down, he refused, and the male victim tried to pull the gun away, but was unsuccessful.
As a result, the suspect uttered threats before barricading himself inside the house.
Police were able to talk the suspect, and eventually got him out.
Jason Azotoni is charged with uttering threats, and possession of a weapon, and appeared in bail court yesterday in St. Catharines.
