Police say Brampton man was driving under suspension for previous impaired driving charge
A 25-year old Brampton man has been charged with impaired driving, among other charges, after a collision in Hamilton.
Police responded to a crash yesterday morning just before 9, on the 403 near Waterdown road.
They were told the driver who caused the crash was seen driving erratically prior to, and was not stopping after the crash.
When police arrived, vehicles were seen on the shoulder, and several people outside the vehicles.
Police say they had to separate the occupants, and were assaulted by the suspect, while arresting him for impaired driving.
Manjot Singh was already under a driving suspension for a previous impaired driving conviction, he was released from custody with a May court date.
He's charged with:
- Operation While Impaired - Alcohol and Drugs
- Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)
- Operation While Prohibited Under the Criminal Code
- Assault a Peace Officer
