Driver of Mercedes arrested, after tanker and SUV collided on QEW, spilling 53,000 litres of diesel in January of 2024
Some good news from police concerning a tanker truck rollover on the QEW near Tufford Road back in January of 2024.
You may recall that's when police say a black Mercedes was being driven aggressively, brake checking other vehicles, causing a white SUV to collide with the tanker.
The SUV ended up in the ditch, the tanker rolled over onto the service road, spilling 53,000 litres of diesel, resulting in a lengthy road closure.
Police add the driver of the Mercedes took off.
Police have arrested the Mercedes driver, 59-year old Mirkarim Mousavi of Burlington, charging him with dangerous operation causing bodily harm, and failure to remain.
He was released from custody with a June court appearance scheduled.
