84-year old man died after hit in Niagara-on-the-Lake
A 37-year old Niagara Falls man has been arrested following the death of a cyclist in Niagara-on-the-Lake in July.
Police were called to East West Line near Concession Road 2, to find an 84-year old cyclist had been hit by a GMC pickup truck. The driver of that truck fled the scene.
Nestor Chemerika died in hospital.
Police arrested Richard Alan Moore yesterday and charged him with failing to stop at the scene of an accident causing death, and careless driving causing death.
The accused remains in custody in St. Catharines pending a bail hearing today.
