Windows broken at the home of MP Vance Badawey
A scary situation for one of Niagara's MPs.
The home of Niagara Centre MP Vance Badawey was vandalized earlier this week.
Police say on May 15th, they were called to his Port Colborne home just after 6:00 p.m.
Several windows were broken, and two witnesses indicated the suspect threatened them with a baseball bat.
The witnesses gave police a description of the man and the license plate his vehicle.
Damage to the home is pegged at about $10,000.
The suspect was arrested about two hours later.
Jamie Owen Holmes, 44, of Welland was charged with the following offences:
- Mischief Over $5000
- Uttering Threats
A bail hearing took place the next day, and Holmes remains in custody.
