Tony Baldinelli questions why former NDP leader Jagmeet Singh even considered for Destination Canada top job
The Conservative Shadow Minister of Tourism is stunned to learn that former NDP leader Jagmeet Singh could become President of Destination Canada.
Niagara Falls MP Tony Baldinelli accuses the Liberal government of paying Singh back for keeping their minority government in power under Justin Trudeau.
He adds Singh has no tourism experience, but is candidate of a $95-million agency promoting Canada to the world.
He also says many tourism operators have expressed great concern to him, one saying if Singh is given the job, it'll be an insult to tourism.
He says Singh was a criminal lawyer before provincial politics in BC. "If Jagmeet Singh was a savvy enough leader of his party, he would've been in Stornoway now, he would've worked to defeat that minority government, and replaced it, he would be leader."
