Former Conservative deputy leader enters race.
Former Conservative deputy leader Leona Alleslev has thrown her hat into the race to select a leader for the party.
Alleslev made the announcement today at a news conference at Parliament Hill.
Alleslev, who lost her Greater Toronto Area seat during last year's federal election, says she doesn't feel she is behind any other candidates who announced there intentions to run earlier.
Currently, there are 11 candidates in the running to replace former leader Erin O'Toole.
