Decision still needs to be passed by Niagara regional council.
Brian Heit will once again represent St. Catharines in regional council.
Last night, council appointed him to fill the spot vacated by Jim Bradley, who is serving another term as Regional Chair.
In October's municipal election, Heit came in 7th place.
The appointment still needs to be greenlit by regional council.
