A huge investment by the provincial government to build a new school in Niagara, and expand three others.
Overall, the government is spending $1.6-billion provincially, and last week Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff was at Glynn A. Green school in Fonthill, announcing $78.1-million for Niagara.
$26.4-million will build a new elementary school in Fort Erie, $17.2-million to spruce up Oakwood school in Port Colborne, Glynn A. Green receives $14.6-million and the high school in Fort Erie gets almost $20-million.
The provincial government says this means almost 900 new elementary seats, over 500 high school spots, and 108 child care spaces.
