After a brief hike of 5 cents a litre, prices on the way down again
According to one industry analyst the cost to fill up your gas tank will be a lot less painful today throughout most of the Golden Horeshoe area.
Dan McTeague, president of Canadians for Affordable Energy, is predicting a 12 cent drop in the cost of gas to 179.9 a litre in most of Ontario, including the GTA, Toronto, Hamilton, London, Barrie, and Kitchener.
As of this morning, some stations in Niagara Falls had gas as low as $1.74 most are hovering around $1.79.
McTeague says price may drop an additional 3 cents a litre by Friday morning, marking the lowest price at the pump since April 15th.
