Police stopping more illegal drugs from being released onto the streets of Niagara.
Last month they began a certain investigation, while watching a man who they say was dealing throughout the region.
Yesterday afternoon, police say they arrested two people dealing drugs in a vehicle, that led them to searching three homes and a vehicle, where three more people were arrested.
Police found:
- 160 grams of suspected fentanyl (street value of $35,200)
- 280 grams of suspected methamphetamine (street value of $28,000)
- 137 grams of suspected cocaine (street value of $13,700)
- 62 tablets of suspected oxycodone (street value of $1,240)
- $8620 Canadian Currency
- 1 Spring-loaded knife
Police arrested:
27-year-old Belaluddin SHAHABUDDIN of Thorold is charged with the following criminal offences:
Trafficking in Scheduled Substance – Methamphetamine
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl (2 counts)
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine (2 counts)
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Oxycodone (2 counts)
Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (2 counts)
Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Over $5000
Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
27-year-old Janelle MCLEOD of Thorold is charged with the following criminal offences:

58-year-old Trevor AVERY of St Catharines is charged with the following criminal offences:

54-year-old Terry GRAY of St Catharines is charged with the following criminal offences:
Trafficking in Scheduled Substance – Methamphetamine
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl (2 counts)
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Under $5000
SHAHABUDDIN and CHESHIRE remain in custody, with bail hearings today.
GRAY, MCLEOD, and AVERY were released on Form 10 Undertakings with future court dates.
