The DSBN is reporting the first case of COVID-19 at Ferndale Public School.
Students and staff in close contact with the individual at the elementary school in St. Catharines have been told to self-isolate.
There will be a deep cleaning of the school and preventative measures against the virus will continue.
Public Health will visit the school for a full assessment.
The identity of the positive case will not be released.
