Justin Trudeau will testify at inquiry surrounding Freedom Convoy protests last year
The Prime Minister will testify today at the inquiry into the government's use of the Emergencies Act during Freedom Convoy protests.
It is the final day of testimony.
The commission heard from Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland yesterday, who defended the government's decision.
She testified as the blockade in Ottawa dragged on for nearly a month and expanded to disruptions at the border, violence could erupt between protesters and counter-protesters.
She also said last winter's protests undermined Canada's economic security, pointing out there's a link between our country's economic and national security.
The Deputy PM said of particular concern was the blockade at the Ambassador Bridge in Windsor -- Canada's busiest trade route with the U-S.
