NRP checked about 300 vehicles
More impaired drivers pulled off the roads by NRP this weekend, including one driver who was stopped twice.
Police set up RIDE check points in St. Catharines, Niagara Falls and Welland Saturday night, and stopped roughly 300 vehicles.
38 drivers were asked to give breath samples, one was arrested for not complying, and received a 90-day licence suspension, and 7-day vehicle impoundment.
Police say another driver gave an acceptable breath sample, but later in the evening was stopped for speeding and not having the headlights on.
Police say it was obvious the driver had more to drink, and was arrested.
