However still considered unsafe to swim
Niagara Public Health has reopened a local beach.
On July 2nd, health officials announced preliminary lab test results showed the presence of a toxin produced by blue-green algae at Charles Daley Park in Jordan Station.
Public Health closed the beach for the safety of beachgoers.
After receiving final lab reports, the regional unit says while "Charles Daley Park beach is no longer closed due to blue-green algae, it remains deemed as unsafe to swim due to e-coli."
