Canadian border officials seized 301 handguns in Southern Ontario last year.
Here in Niagara, they found 33 at the Peace Bridge and six at the Rainbow Bridge in six separate incidents between March and August.
The Canada Border Services Agency just released some of the highlights from 2019.
The CBSA conducted nearly 33,000 drug seizures, more than 150 child pornography seizures and located 540 firearms and nearly 17,000 weapons throughout the year.
