Over 2,700 students expected to arrive on campus this weekend
Back to school is coming up, and this weekend is Move in Weekend at Brock University.
The school says about 2,700 students will move into their new residence on Saturday and Sunday.
Students have been given a one-hour time window between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
"For many students, this is their first time living away from their families, which can be both an exciting and daunting experience," says Cindy Chernish, Director, Housing Services. "We want to reassure them that they’re not alone as they begin this new chapter and that there’s a network of support here to help them find success each step of the way."
With an influx of students expected, parking and access will be limited.
Anyone visiting the school for another reason this weekend is asked to park in Lot 1.
The University adds it has seen a jump in demand for on-campus housing among second and upper year students, as well as graduate students.
