Work on the Hydro Canal Bridge on Lundy's Lane expected to be done at year's end
If you drive Lundy's Lane in Niagara Falls much, it'll be roughly year's end before construction of a bridge east of Montrose Road is done.
The region's Director of Transportation Frank Tassone tells us it's called Hydro Canal Bridge, and they're rehabilitating the steel structure, as well as patching, waterproofing and repaving.
He also says they're looking at walking, cycling improvements. "Additionally there's a small parking lot that the city is looking at doing on the east side of the bridge, that will connect to the trail that goes along the side of the canal."
He says Rankin Construction is doing the work for $4.8-million.
