Police say vehicle was driven into canal.
The body of a man was pulled from the Welland Canal this weekend.
Around 11:10 p.m. on Friday, emergency crews were responded to a motor vehicle collision call near Forks Road and Colborne Street.
Investigators say a car drove into the canal.
Upon arrival, police noticed a partially submerged trailer and a glow of vehicle lights under the water.
A search was conducted by the NRP and the Marine Unit, and the body was found around 11:15 yesterday morning in the same area.
The identity of the male victim is not being released.
Officers say foul play isn't suspected, and anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 905-688-4111, ext. 1002200.
