Something to do this long weekend for you and the kids

Sponsored by the Nature Conservancy of Canada, all of us are asked to become citizen scientists and take pictures of plants, animals, and fungi in our backyards, on trails or wherever we may be this weekend.

Download the iNaturalist app to your smartphone and upload your pics.

The pictures will be verified by experts around the world and will help learn more about species at risk, invasive species and species such as the peregrine falcon which is recovering from near extinction.
