The NRP is investigating after an assault in St. Catharines.
Police were called to a home in the Garnet Street and Niagara Street area last night.
A 41-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but she had since been released.
Officers believe this was a targeted incident, adding there's no immediate threat to public safety.
Constable Phil Gavin says they are formulating suspect information at this time.
They have seized a grey Volkswagon Jetta on Centre Street, between Academy Street and Court Street.
Anyone with surveillance cameras close to the crime scene or car location should check their footage between 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and report suspicious activity to police.
