Over 7,800 customers lost power.
Power has been restored following a significant outage in St. Catharines.
Around 9:21 this morning, Alectra Utilities reported an outage between Beachhaven Drive to Queenston Street and Tasker Street to Read Road.
Power was fully restored just after 1:00 p.m..
Alectra says the outage was caused by an underground distribution problem.
