Airline slashes 154 flights per day
The chief executive of Air Canada is apologizing for recent flight delays and staff shortages, as the company announces it's cutting more than 15 per cent of its scheduled flights in July and August.
Michael Rousseau says Air Canada foresaw much of the strain now weighing on global aviation networks, but is struggling with disruptions despite a hiring blitz.
The move will see 154 flights per day on average dropped from the airline's schedule, affecting hundreds of thousands of passengers.
