A handful of people in Pelham will be able to vote for their next town councillor today.
It's the first day of advanced polls for the Ward 1 by-election and the town is taking steps to make sure everyone can safely cast their ballot.
Everyone will have to wear a mask, sanitize their hands, practice physical distancing and pass a COVID-19 screening when they arrive.
It's also recommended that you bring your own pen.
There will be six voting booths on site and voters will be placed in alternating booths.
The booths will be cleaned after each use.
There will also be separate entrance and exit points at each voting station.
Another advanced poll will be held on September 12th ahead of election day on September 15th.
