They’re investing more than $78 million towards local transit in Niagara.
The federal government will provide over $31 million, the province will chip in over $26 million and local municipalities will contribute the remaining $21 million.
The money will be going towards 31 new transit projects in the Region.
This includes the construction of a multi-modal hub in Niagara Falls, renovations to the bus terminal in downtown St. Catharines and the construction of a new transit operations facility in Welland.
