716 Day in Buffalo Underway

Three day event kicked off yesterday

716 day in Buffalo is technically tomorrow but it kicked off last night for the Bills and Sabres Foundations, with special fundraising events.

Using the region's area code as inspiration, 716 day was originally a way to celebrate Buffalo and show civic pride, but it has since turned into a 3-day event to give back to the local community.

Money raised goes to more than 500 Western New York based non profit organizations.

Last year, Give 716 raised over $1.1 million in 28 hours.

As part of the event, the Buffalo Zoo and Aquarium have announced special discounts for tomorrow.
