Third incident involving a Niagara monument
The Standard reporting a sundial that sits on top of a time capsule buried in the courtyard of the St. Catharines Library is missing.
The sundial and time capsule were created in 1976 to celebrate the city’s centennial year and the year the central library was built.
It was just last month thieves took a bronze statue of Lieutenant General Drummond from the Drummond Hill Cemetery in Niagara Falls.
A bust of Harriet Tubman outside the BME Church in St. Catharines was vandalized earlier this month.
