45% of Canadians feel retail stores use right amount
It appears the majority of us feel retail stores are doing the right amount of security to stop shoplifters.
A Leger poll found that to be the case among 45% of Canadians, while 27percent feel not enough is being done. 10% think there is too much security.
The survey found most people support retailers installing security cameras or electronic anti-theft alarms, hiring security guards or locking certain products in display cases.
But, people are split on supporting store employees checking receipts when customers leave, or eliminating self-checkout machines.
