Part of province's decision to start loosening restrictions
Starting today, residents of long-term care homes in Ontario can see more caregivers and take social trips.
Residents who've had at least three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine are now allowed to resume social day trips, and residents can see up to four designated caregivers, but only two at a time.
Yesterday, the number of people in hospital across the province with COVID dropped to its lowest level since early January.
Ontario health officials reported 2,230 people in hospital with the virus.
The number of people in intensive care also dropped yesterday and now sits at 486.
Niagara Public health reported 84 new cases of the virus yesterday and 144 the day before.
