NRP constable says to never feel you're inconveniencing police by calling about suspicious behaviour
An appeal from Niagara regional police to call them anytime with information about crime, in light of yet another jewellery store robbery.
Constable Luke Lindley says they're working on the Michael Hill Jewellery theft in the Pen Centre Monday night.
He says calling police can make a difference in catching these people. "Again, if you do see something suspicious in the mall happening, or people may be in the parking lot with masks, and they're running in, that is not normal behaviour. Don't ever feel like you're inconveniencing the police by reporting it."
He adds they're trading information with other police forces, since this has been happening many times over the last year.
On Sunday, five people robbed the Stratford Mall, using the same car, same licence plates. "There's not really much we can comment on at this time, regarding those incidents. However, earlier on in the year, maybe it was Grimsby, but it was linked to another area out of the region."
He says a couple of people have already been arrested for previous holdups.
