Accuse Premier of shirking his responsibilities during Ottawa protest
The Prime Minister and Ottawa Mayor are both pointing at Doug Ford, accusing him of shirking his duty in response to the Freedom Convoy in Ottawa.
Jim Watson spoke at the public inquiry looking into the federal government's use of the Emergency Act in response to the protest, which lasted a few weeks. He said within days it was clear Ottawa police were completely outnumbered.
He shared his frustrations about Ford with Justin Trudeau, and said Ontario's solicitor general, Sylvia Jones was being ``disingenuous'' about the number of OPP officers sent.
It was on Monday Ontario's Premier stood beside the Prime Minister, Doug Ford saying he agreed with how the federal government handled the protest.
