This year, over 600 charges have been laid against drivers who didn't move over for emergency vehicles
The OPP is reminding drivers to pay attention to not just the road, but also the roadside.
Police say hundreds of drivers ignore the Move Over law, which was created to give emergency personnel space to work on the side of the road.
Last year, 846 charges were laid against drivers who didn't slow down and move over a lane when approaching emergency vehicles with their lights activated.
Over 600 charges have been laid so far this year.
The OPP will be out on patrol over the long weekend.
