The NRP is reporting its first positive case of COVID-19.
It’s a frontline officer and they’re now self-isolating at home.
Anyone who came into close contact with this officer will be notified.
Chief Bryan MacCulloch says we need to do our part to prevent the spread of the virus.
"The Niagara Regional Police Service continues to echo the advice of Niagara Region Public Health to stay home if you are sick, limit contact with persons outside of your household, wear a mask if you are unable to physically distance and wash your hands often."
