A man and woman from Lincoln are charged with many offences, after businesses were robbed
Two people from Lincoln have been arrested after break and enters at Turkstra Lumber in Niagara Falls, as well as Cooper Rentals in Thorold, and Battlefield rentals in Stoney Creek.
Police say $75,000 worth of plywood was taken from Turkstra last month, police later watching the suspects selling the wood online.
On Monday, police arrested the two at a home in the Merritt Road and King Street area in Lincoln, where they also found $250,000 worth of machinery from Cooper Rentals, and a forklift taken from Battlefield, valued at around $72,000.
Police say 42-year old Monica Beauchamps is charged:
- Break, Enter Commit theft over $5000 (3 Counts)
- Trafficking in stolen property under $5,000
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking stolen property under $5,000
- Possession of stolen property over $5,000
- Theft of motor vehicle
53-year old Manuel Periera is also charged:
- Break, Enter Commit theft over $5000 (3 Counts)
- Trafficking in stolen property under $5,000
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking stolen property under $5,000
- Possession of stolen property over $5,000
- Theft of motor vehicle
They both had bail hearings on Tuesday.
