Three men arrested over the weekend in Niagara Falls
More illegal drugs have been taken off the streets of Niagara Falls by police.
Officers were looking into a stolen Chevy Cruz in the Elgin and Buttrey Street area of the city early Saturday afternoon.
They found the licence plates and vehicle had been stolen separately.
As a result, police arrested three men, and found a loaded gun, ammunition, and suspected carfentanil valued at roughly $6,000.
Police say 33-year old John McMullen of Hamilton, 42-year old Ronald Vant of Welland, and Andre LaFontaine, also 42-years old, from Niagara Falls, each face charges.

- Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
- Possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a licence
- Possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm without holding a licence
- Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition
- Careless storage of a firearm
- Possession of a schedule I substance for trafficking
The suspects had bail hearings on Sunday in St. Catharines.
