The Niagara Sexual Assault Centre is now a certified living wage employer.
It was first established as a non-profit 42-years ago. It provides counselling and support services to survivors of sexual assault, child sexual abuse and incest.
It employs two full-time staff members and seven part-time employees today.
The Niagara Poverty Reduction Network says the living wage in the Niagara Region is about $18 per hour.
The Niagara Sexual Assault Centre is the 28th living wage employer for Niagara.
