Niagara's COVID-19 death toll now at 506.
Five more people have died of COVID-19 in Niagara.
Public Health reporting the deaths, along with 131 new cases today.
There are 73 Niagara Health patients with teh virus, 54 of which are being treated primarily for COVID.
Ten of the patients are in the ICU, and five ICU patients are unvaccinated.
The region has 2,065 active cases, including 681 in St. Catharines, 379 in Niagara Falls and 241 in Welland.
There are also 23 active outbreaks.
Over a million vaccinations have been administered in Niagara.
About 87.1 percent of local residents have one dose and 83 percent have two.
