Home Winterproofing program underway
The gas company says its "Home Winterproofing Program" can help customers lower their natural gas bill and make their home more comfortable.
If your home and household income meet the criteria, you can get free insulation, draft proofing and a smart thermostat to help reduce energy costs by up to 30 percent.
Enbridge says there is NO catch.
To qualify, households must:
1) Have an Enbridge Gas account in their name.
2) Heat their home with a natural gas furnace or boiler
3) Renters also qualify
Income level (before tax) must be:
1 person = $36,578
2 people = $51,729
3 people = $63,354
4 people = $73,157
5 people = $81,791
6 people = $89,598
7+ people = $96,775
OR receive assistance from a government program:
Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Program, LEAP Emergency Financial Assistance Grant, Guaranteed Income Supplement, Allowance for Seniors, Allowance for Survivors, Healthy Smiles
Ontario Electricity Support Program, Energy Assistance Program (EAP) formerly known as the Home Assistance Program (HAP)
