Erin O'Toole is heading into the fight of his political life
Caucus members will hold a secret vote today to determine if he should stay on.
The vote comes after a letter was sent to the caucus chair signed about a third of Tory MP's asking for a leadership review.
Alberta MP Bob Benzen criticized O'Toole this week for refusing to take a tougher stand against a controversial secularism law in Quebec or to clearly defend Canadians' freedoms throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Yesterday, he said even if O'Toole wins the leadership vote, the Conservative party and its grassroots supporters will lose, adding ``A house divided against itself cannot stand.''
