The first of three advance payments for the 2023 Canada Workers Benefit will go out today.

Eligible single workers will receive up to $1,518, and eligible families will get up to $2,616.
“The Canada Workers Benefit tops-up the income of up to 4.2 million hardworking Canadians—because no one working full-time should be struggling to put food on the table or to pay their rent,” says Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Chrystia Freeland.
In order to be eligible for the benefit, recipients must be a Canadian resident, have a net income below the level set for their province, and be at least 19 years old by December 3rd.
In Ontario, the net income level ranges from $33,015 for a single person without kids, to $43,212 for a family with children.
