Interest for tickets exceeding expectations
Another big event is in Niagara this weekend... the Niagara Canada Film Fest.
Kevin Huhn is with MarkD Productions, and tells us 37 movies and some world premiers will be screened at the Convention Centre.
He adds they're looking to expand beyond Toronto. "Now, how do we do something down in the Niagara area? Because, people are going down anyway, and there's a lot of history in Niagara, in terms of film making. I always think of my favourite, Superman, being filmed down there, but there are so many others."
This is the 4th festival, and first time it's in Niagara in person.
He says over 400 people have signed to attend, well beyond their expectations.
There will be special speakers. "One of the guest speakers, Saturday, is going to be Andrew Barnsley, the Executive Producer of Schitt's Creek, Son of a Critch, Jann from Jann Arden, Kids in the Hall... talking film making and TV production to the audience."
